Town Heritage Trail

Through the Local Heritage Initiative, Stuart House Trust was awarded grants from the Heritage Lottery Fund and Nationwide Building Society for a project to raise awareness of the built, archaeological and industrial heritage of Liskeard town centre.
A suitable wheel/pushchair accessible route around the heritage area was identified. Large map/information boards and finger post signs were designed and manufactured, and erected at strategic places in the town.
A Trail map was designed, showing a birds-eye view of the town, along with a description of the route and of the heritage buildings.
Multilingual versions of the map text were commissioned. Two childrens' guides/activity booklets also were designed
