Samantha Rowe – Flute

This concert is by the very musically gifted 16 year old Samantha Rowe. Currently studying music at Truro College, Samantha plays the flute, piano, saxophone and is a singer. As a flautist she is already well beyond grade 8; plays in the Cornwall Youth Orchestra, has formed and led flute choirs; and is a key player in a Jazz band. Samantha has performed in ensemble and solo in many local and national venues including Hall for Cornwall and the Royal Albert Hall. In 2015 she reached the penultimate round of the prestigious “Young musicians platform”.

Samantha’s passion for music embraces a wide range of genre, including early classical music to contemporary music and Jazz. Her ambition is to study at a music conservatoire prior to becoming a professional musician.

Samantha’s inspiring programme will demonstrate her technical virtuosity, sensitive musicianship and diverse musical tastes. The audience will, without fail, be entranced by her beautiful tone and thoughtful interpretation. Performing music from around Europe, including Cornwall, this recital will demonstrate the versatility of the flute and give us a taste of the fantastic wealth of great music written for the instrument.

Tickets are £6.00 available from Reception in Stuart House, there will be tea and biscuits after the concert, included in the price.
